Computational Stylistic is a form of study where we analyse the characteristics of corpus through observing the patterns via computational method. It delivers a more accurate detection of exploration on corpora. There are numbers of dedicated Computational Stylistic software developed to analyze and extract the relevant data from a particular corpus.

This study contributes in identifying anonymous corpora as well as analyzing corpus composition. One can observe and discover the specific style of a certain writer as well as to understand a corpus through the application of discourse analysis. 

It also helps in developing one own certain style of writing by realizing one's habit. Despite being more accurate, it still would not be 100% in accuracy due to the circumstantial elements that may affect a writer's style of writing. A writer may attempt to change their style according to the genre. Therefore, it can be concluded that Computational Stylistic may provide a reliable data but one should not be entirely dependent on the software and system.

Forensic linguistics is also known as legal linguistics, or language and the law. As stated in Wikipedia, (2013), it refers to the application of linguistic knowledge, methods and insights to the forensic context of law, language, crime investigation, trial, and judicial procedure. In short, a corpus is analysing in order to aid criminal profiling or linguistic evidence are taken to determined its reliability and to extract clues. This study is not only applicable to written corpora but also any form of discourse.

This branch of science gained a lot of popularity, particularly, in association with actual crime investigation proceeding. Using Forensic Linguistic on a corpus may provide the authority with the profiles of either the victim or perpetrator. Using a similar concept to Computational Stylistic, a corpus is analyzed to build up a profile of its writer through habits or tendencies that shows up This science really helps authorities in a criminal investigation.
