The first thing that pops in our mind
was "what is our purpose in
learning/gaining knowledge?". The thought really worked us
to the our fullest. Being a student, there are many things that one has in
mind, especially after graduating. Some would declare that they study hard in
order to secure good jobs, while some might have different views on that. As to
what Dr. Rozina had pointed out:
*Who do we represent?
*Who will benefit if we do well in studies
*How are our brothers and sisters in Islam doing?
These questions did make us to reflect upon everything. It caused us to make some changes in our life. The bits and benefits of the islamization of
knowledge has also triggered us towards the real
life (and the hereafter). As a matter of fact, studying is also a jihad or an ibadah because we are striving towards the path of Allah and to make the best of it! Ameen!
Islam teaches us to respect each other at all times, even
when in a disagreement. Our views & opinions may differ. Our akhlaq
shouldn't.
